angélique nguyễn green (she/her/hers) brings over 13 years of experience leading high-performing fundraising teams at Left and progressive movement-aligned organizations. She has successfully shepherded them through various stages of the life cycle, from modernizing development operations and expanding the donor base of the Institute for Policy Studies and the Center for Law and Social Policy to creating the staffing and infrastructure to sustain the rapid growth of the National Domestic Workers Alliance and Popular Democracy. She aspires to grow the field of movement fundraisers seeking to build power and solidarity through transformational partnerships with institutional and individual donors.

Kitt Lyles (he/him) is a grant writing consultant based in Chicago, IL. Kitt has supported social justice movement organizations with grant writing, grants management, and fundraising strategy since 2019, in service of his commitment to equity and justice for all marginalized people. In that time, he has helped raise millions of dollars for organizations including Urban Peace Movement and MediaJustice by crafting expert grant proposals to private foundations and public funding programs. Kitt holds a BM in Jazz Studies from Northwestern University, and draws on his background as a professional musician to write with shrewd attention to detail and manage quick grant turnarounds with poise. He has led the crafting of proposals that won prestigious and competitive awards for clients of Left Align Consulting, including the 2024 Yield Giving Open Call.

Andrianna Hughes (she/her), based in Madrid, Spain, brings over 12 years of nonprofit fundraising and grant writing experience, with expertise in progressive advocacy and the arts. Drawing from her experience working in the development departments of cultural organizations across NYC and delivering high quality writing for a diverse set of clients at Left Align, Andrianna understands the challenges development teams face and the kind of support they most need to excel. Her academic background in literature and art history (including two Master’s degrees) has informed her approach to building compelling cases for funding that effectively translate an organization’s vision to philanthropic audiences.

Emily King (she/her) grew up in South Louisiana and now lives in Chicago, where she honed her fundraising skills as Development Director for a local organization dedicated to improving housing access for tenants and seniors. Driven by the belief that fundraising is a set of skills anyone can learn and put into practice to better the world around them, she leads fundraising and development operations projects for Left Align clients. Emily partners with organizations of all budget sizes to increase financial sustainability, professionalize and systematize back-end operations, and successfully launch new programs.

Leo Kallas (they/he) is an organizer and resource mobilizer based in Queens, NY. They have over a decade of experience working in nonprofits with a focus on moving resources to grassroots organizations in hyperlocal, national, and international contexts including most recently at Groundswell Fund and the Resourcing Refugee Leadership Initiative. He brings a diverse background encompassing program development, operations leadership, institutional and individual fundraising, grantmaking, narrative strategy, and on-the-ground organizing experience, enabling holistic support of his clients to build and scale sustainable development strategies. Leo is dedicated to building the systems and stories that make it easy (and even fun!) for social justice organizations to fund their work and create a better world.

Aurora Colindres (she/her/ella) is a movement weaver who has been helping resource justice movements nationally and in key states for over 20 years. Driven by a heart for liberation, she founded Power for Good Consulting, a practice deeply fueled by her own story as a Panamanian immigrant who grew up undocumented in Florida. Through her work, Aurora partners with visionary leaders of color, frontline organizations, and social change funders to co-create a just future for all. As a development consultant, she fuels the mission of BIPOC-led, frontline groups working to protect human rights and grow civic power. As a capacity builder and strategic coach, she accompanies individuals and teams on their leadership journeys. Aurora also supports resource mobilization as a certified Impact Philanthropy Advisor (IPA) for future-thinking donors and philanthropy hubs. Grounded in joy, arts, and healing, Aurora brings unique energy to her roles as a facilitator, speaker, and cultural curator during a time of significant change.

Rose Stump (she/her) is a fundraiser and organizer based in Charleston, South Carolina. She has over a decade of experience in the nonprofit sector and is passionate about building the systems, relationships, and fundraising strategies that help social justice organizations thrive. Her background spans institutional fundraising, individual giving, development operations, and community organizing, with a particular focus on streamlining fundraising systems and strengthening donor engagement. She has held roles at Groundswell Fund, JustFund, and the Charleston Area Justice Ministry. Most recently, she served on the Development Team at Local Progress. Rose has been organizing at the intersections of racial, gender, and economic justice for over 10 years, beginning with the Farmworkers’ Movement in her home state of Florida. She is dedicated to building people power and advancing liberation in the U.S. South and beyond.

Liz Dunn (she/her) is a philanthropy consultant with more than 15 years of experience helping mission-driven organizations strengthen fundraising strategy, development operations, and organizational capacity. She has helped raise more than $115 million for social justice, human services, and community-based organizations and has served as an executive team member for RAICES, University of the People, and the Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights. Based in Nashville, Tennessee, Liz partners with nonprofits across the South and nationally to build stronger fundraising programs and advance bold missions.

April Bethea (she/any) is a proud two-time PhD dropout who brings her qualitative research skills to her work as a fundraiser and communications professional. She has spent the bulk of her decade-long career in philanthropy, specifically as Director of External Affairs for a nonprofit working to move resources to LGBTQ movements across the country. Additionally, they have worked for NYC-based arts organizations focused on artist development. April considers writing her super power and brings her experience working dynamically across scrappy organizations with big dreams to provide holistic development support to nonprofits and to translate narrative and programmatic strategy for internal and external audiences and stakeholders alike.
